Our representative will meet you at the Airport and assist with visas and customs upon arrival. You will then be transported to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, visit the ruins of Amman’s Roman theatre, the citadel, the Umayyad Palace, then enjoy the Archaeological and Folklore Museums. Drive east of Amman and dotting the wide desert is a string of 8th century Castles or “Qasers” built by the Omayyad Caliphs of Damascus as hunting Lodges: Azraq, Amra, and Kharaneh. Then return to Amman for a hotel stay overnight and dinner.
After breakfast, travel about an hour north of Amman to the ancient city of Jerash, which boasts an unbroken chain of human civilization dating back more than 6,500 years. Then proceed to Ajloun: A hilly town in the north of Jordan, northwest of Amman. It is noted for its impressive ruins of the 12th century castle modernly known as Ajloun Castle. Return to the hotel in Amman for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, journey to Madaba. This mosaic-filled city is located just 40 minutes south of Amman, on the Kings’ Highway. Next, visit the Greek Church of St. George, where you can see the 6Th century Map of the Holy Land. Then proceed to Mt. Nebo-the site where Moses overlooked the Promised Land. Continue to Kerak where you can visit the castle of Kerak. Located on a craggy place 4,300 feet above sea level, it is one of the two major Crusader castles in Jordan. Lastly, you will arrive at Petra, for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day visit to Petra. The most exciting and adventurous travel experience is this fascinating trip to Petra, “the Lost City.” One of the Seven Wonders of the World, it is hidden away in the encircling craggy rock mountains south of the Dead Sea. In the evening, continue to camp on Wadi Rum dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, visit the desert of Wadi Rum, where the black, wind-scalped hills stand like foreboding sentinels upon the pale sands -often described as the “Valley of the Moon “. Enjoy a 2-hour Jeep safari in the desert. Then journey south to Aqaba; a coastal city in the far south of Jordan. Aqaba is best known today as a diving and beach resort, but its industrial activity continues to be important to the region. After this awe-inspiring day, you will proceed to a hotel in Aqaba for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive to the lowest spot on earth: the Dead Sea, a remarkable 1,306 feet (400 meters) below sea level. Enjoy free time, and the opportunity for your group to take a swim where it is impossible to sink; read a newspaper while lying on your back in the sea! Then return to a hotel in Amman for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, proceed to Amman International Airport for departure.
