8: Then he said to me: “This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed. 9 And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes. 10 It shall be that fishermen will stand by it from En Gedi to En Eglaim; they will be places for spreading their nets. Their fish will be of the same kinds as the fish of the Great Sea, exceedingly many. 11 But its swamps and marshes will not be healed; they will be given over to salt. 12 Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.

After breakfast, travel to the mosaic-filled city of Madaba. There you will visit many different sites including: the Greek Church of St. George, which contains the wonderfully vivid map of the sixth century Holy Land; visit La Storia Museum (wax museum) where you can experience an exciting journey through history. Then head to Bethany, the site where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Then return to the hotel in the Dead Sea for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day visit to Petra. The most exciting and adventurous travel experience is this fascinating trip to Petra, “the Lost City.” One of the Seven Wonders of the World, it is hidden away in the encircling craggy rock mountains south of the Dead Sea. Petra is a historical and archaeological city in the Jordanian governorate of Ma'an that is known for its rock cut architecture and water conduit system. Established sometime around the 6th century BC as the capital city of the Nabataeans, it is a symbol of Jordan as well as its most visited tourist attraction. It lies on the slope of Mount Hor, in a basin among the mountains which form the eastern flank of Arabah (Wadi Araba), the large valley running from the Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba. Petra has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. Then return to the hotel in Bethany for dinner and an overnight stay.
